Do you want to keep a diary but struggle to keep it up? This workshop will inspire you as to what journaling can be and how it can support your needs in a long-term, nourishing and reflective practice.
Our facilitator Kit shares perspectives on why journaling is beneficial, psychologically and as contemplative practice. You’ll be encouraged to expand your imagination around journaling and explore the idea of ritual. How often does a journaling practice need to be? A sustained practice does not mean a practice that never changes: when a practice transforms you, it also transforms with you. As you change, the practice changes too.
As well as learning about journaling in general, you will be guided through an expressive journaling exercise and finish the session with a Q&A.

Kit Kuksenok (They/Them)
Kit Kuksenok is a Berlin-based artist, researcher, and yoga teacher.
Through talks and courses, they combine ideas from art and meditation to help people get to know themselves more deeply. Whether using visual art or data-driven self-tracking, Kit approaches self-reflection with curiosity and compassion.
As an artist, Kit has experimented with journaling since 2007. Since 2015, they have also facilitated meditation, and through that gotten to know many different kinds of challenges that people face in the hard work of self-reflection. For the last two years, they have worked with individuals and groups to help create unique, sustainable, and transformative reflection practices.
